I have lived in Hemet long enough to know the city and surrounding areas very well. In addition to knowing the local real estate market like the back of my hand, there are many other very important things that I have learned over the years. Like, where to get an amazing sandwich! Here are my top five spots in the city of Hemet to get a sandwich that is sure to check all of the boxes for discerning foodies like myself.

1. FRESH CUT SUBS

This seems to be a bit of a hidden gem! It is tucked away in the corner of the Target shopping center, just down the street from where I live in Four Seasons. This is a straight forward, 'East coast style' sandwich shop that never fails to deliver the perfect sandwich. The magic is in the bread that they fly in from New York. If you have not tried this place, I suggest that you do.  You can thank me later. 

2. DESTINATION COFFEE BAR & BISTRO

This place is amazing for many reasons! The location and the establishment itself is very cool, but the food here is the star. When it comes to sandwiches, Destinatino Coffee Bar & Bistro has an array of diffent options. They have great breakfast sandwiches on fresh bagels, Paninis, traditional sandwiches and my favorite, the Wafflewich! You have to try the Monte Carlo. It is a take on the Monte Cristo, but arguably better.

3.DOWNTOWN DELI & COFFEE COMPANY

Another all-star, locally owned establishment in Hemet. Just like Destination Coffee Bar & Bistro, this place has a great location and ambiance. It also, serves up many great selections. The sandwiches at Downtow Deli are amazing. The bread is fantastic, the meats are great and the portions are big. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Put this place on the list!

4.JIMMY JOHNS

Yes, I know this is a chain restaruant, but I can't deny how amazing the sandwiches are at Jimmy Johns. It's pretty straight forward, but there are tons of choices and the product is beyond what I would call "a solid sandwich". 

5. BANH MI

There is a new kid on the block! This place serves up a mean Vietnamese stlye sandwich that provides an awesome twist on a traditional sammie that is more than welcomed by this foodie. There are so many great menu items at Banh Mi, but the sandwich is the star. There are several Banh Mi sandwich offerings on the menu and this place gets an A+ for having the best sandwich names I have ever seen.  Give this place a try. It is located between the 99 Cents Only Store and Target.
